And yes, Ma\u00eft\u00e9, the Landes\u2019 much-loved television cook, makes an appearance too \ud83d\ude0a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anonymous photographs mingle with works by celebrated names \u2014 Nic\u00e9phore Ni\u00e9pce, Robert Doisneau, Willy Ronis, Martin Parr and others \u2014 in <strong>a journey through two centuries of French life around the table.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From meals in the trenches of the First World War to the carefully choreographed tables of diplomacy; from Sunday family lunches to TV dinners; from wedding feasts to the endless stream of food imagery on social media\u2026 the exhibition explores how photography has captured <strong>the social and cultural shifts surrounding this most French of rituals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A very good reason to leave the gentle cocoon of Eug\u00e9nie behind for a few hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mus\u00e9e de la Fa\u00efence et des Arts de la Table in Samadet is open Tuesday to Sunday, 2\u20136pm, from 15 February to 15 November.
